Lauren and Nathan's Wedding at St. Thomas More Catholic Church & Allegro Wedding & Events Venue
Let's take a trip to the Texas Hill Country for a Catholic wedding with Lauren and Nathan. Before the wedding mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, our first stop was the reception venue, Allegro Wedding & Events in the Dripping Springs area. With all the "getting-ready" activities at Allegro it kept everyone organized, and since they have on site accommodations it made for a fun atmosphere. It also gave us an opportunity for "first-look" photos along with all the group photos before heading off for the ceremony.
The tradition of a Catholic mass gives us comfort in knowing the structure of the ceremony and the key moments. For Michelle and I, our approach is with reverence for the sacrament, and a keen eye on those interactions that will touch the hearts of the family later. For Lauren and Nathan the mass was a beautiful bonding of two families marked with all those nuances that we anticipated. The atmosphere of the family following the mass was wonderful, with group photos going well, and many just hanging around for some impromptu photos with the bride and groom.
Back at Allegro the area was alive with activity as everyone gathered for the reception. The evening was started with formal introductions, food, speeches, first-dances, and deserts, everything needed to get a great party started. This was a group ready to party, and once we were back from sunset photos with Lauren and Nathan, the party was on. The dance floor was lively and it was packed, but there is nothing more fun than being right there in the middle of all the dancing.
I'm sure the end of the day came far too soon for Lauren and Nathan. Their last dance made for some beautiful moments, after what was a fun and exciting wedding day. As the guests lit their sparklers and got ready for the exit, Nathan grabbed his bottle of champagne, and the newlyweds gave one last wave to everyone.
