Our Wedding Location Targets for 2026–2027

Where Love Has Taken Us — and Where It’s Taking Us Next

We’ve learned over the years that couples don’t choose a location just because it looks good in photos. They choose it because it feels like something. A place that reminds them of a trip they took together, or a season of life they want to remember forever. Sometimes it’s the place they met. Sometimes it’s the place they go when life gets loud and they need space to breathe. And sometimes, it’s simply the place that feels right in their hearts.

That’s why when we talk about where we’re headed in 2026 and 2027, it’s not a checklist or a business strategy. It’s more like a reflection of the stories we’ve loved telling so far, and the ones we’re excited to step into next.

We’ve spent years photographing weddings all over Texas and beyond, and somewhere along the way, we realized something important: the best weddings aren’t about the location itself. They’re about how the place allows people to be fully present with each other. Still, certain places have a way of drawing that out naturally. Those are the places we keep coming back to.

San Antonio Will Always Feel Like Home

San Antonio is where we’ve built our business, but more than that, it’s where we’ve built relationships. We know how the light falls downtown in the late afternoon, how the breeze moves through the trees along the river, how a summer wedding feels different from a winter one here. We know which venues get quiet pockets of calm even on busy weekends, and where couples can steal a few minutes alone without disappearing entirely.

Some of our favorite memories come from weddings here. Quiet moments before ceremonies at historic churches. Couples laughing together during portraits because something went hilariously wrong and no one cared. Sunset portraits that happened by accident because the timing was just right.

San Antonio weddings have a way of feeling grounded. Warm. Real. And that’s why it will always be our home base, no matter how far we travel.

Waco, Dallas, and Houston: Three Cities, Three Energies

Waco is where I (Royce) grew up.. There’s a softness to weddings there, a kind of understated charm that feels effortless. We’ve photographed couples who wanted simple, intentional days that still felt elevated, and Waco delivered every time. It’s a place where things don’t feel rushed, where conversations linger, and where weddings feel personal in a way that’s hard to describe until you’ve experienced it.

Dallas, on the other hand, brings energy. There’s a confidence to weddings there, a boldness. The venues are stunning, the timelines move quickly, and the celebrations tend to go late. We’ve found that couples in Dallas often know exactly what they want, and they trust us to document it without over-directing. Those weddings are fast-paced, emotional, and incredibly rewarding.

Houston sits somewhere beautifully in between. The cultural diversity, the food, the scale of celebrations—it all creates weddings that feel rich and layered. We’ve photographed ceremonies where generations came together in the most meaningful ways, and receptions that felt like true celebrations of family and history. Houston weddings remind us why storytelling matters, because there’s always more happening beneath the surface.

Along the Coast: Corpus Christi and South Padre Island

There’s something about the coast that slows people down. Maybe it’s the sound of the water or the way the light softens in the evening, but weddings near the ocean always feel different.

Corpus Christi and South Padre Island have given us some of our most emotionally open couples. People laugh more easily there. They breathe deeper. They let go of perfection and lean into the moment. We’ve photographed barefoot ceremonies, windblown hair, and sunset portraits that felt almost cinematic without trying to be.

Coastal weddings teach you to let go of control, and we love that. The wind might pick up. The timeline might shift. But what you gain in exchange is something real and unrepeatable.

The Hill Country: Where We Feel Most at Home

If there’s one place that feels like a creative reset every time we’re there, it’s the Texas Hill Country. The light, the open skies, the quiet moments between events—it all lends itself to storytelling in the most natural way.

We’ve photographed weddings tucked into rolling hills, under oak trees, and inside venues that feel like they were built to hold memories. Hill Country couples tend to care deeply about experience. They want their guests to feel comfortable. They want the day to unfold naturally. And they want photos that feel honest, not staged.

It’s a place where we can slow down, observe, and capture moments as they actually happen. That’s where our best work always seems to come from.

Big Bend and West Texas: For the Adventurous at Heart

Every now and then, a couple reaches out with a plan that makes us pause and smile. Big Bend is usually part of that conversation.

Weddings out there feel different in the best possible way. The scale of the landscape reminds you how small and meaningful a wedding day really is. There’s less distraction, less noise, and more intention. We’ve watched couples say their vows with nothing but mountains behind them and wind moving quietly through the desert.

These are the weddings that feel almost sacred. Intimate. Grounded. Unrushed. And they stay with us long after we’ve packed up our cameras.

Northwest Arkansas: Bentonville and Hot Springs

We’ve grown increasingly drawn to Northwest Arkansas over the past few years. Bentonville and Hot Springs have this unique blend of charm, nature, and thoughtful design that feels perfect for couples who want something a little different.

There’s a calm there that’s hard to explain. Lakes, trails, historic buildings, and just enough polish to make weddings feel elevated without being overwhelming. We’ve photographed moments there that felt deeply personal, where couples truly felt present with one another.

It’s a region we’re excited to spend more time in, especially as more couples discover how special it is.

Destin and the Gulf Coast

The Gulf Coast has its own rhythm. The light is softer. The evenings linger. The celebrations feel lighter somehow, even when they’re emotional.

We love photographing weddings in Destin because they strike a beautiful balance between relaxed and meaningful. Couples are present. Guests are happy. And the environment encourages everyone to slow down and enjoy what’s happening right in front of them.

These are the weddings where laughter comes easily and moments unfold naturally. They don’t need to be forced. They just happen.

Beyond Texas: Wherever Your Story Leads

Some of our favorite weddings have happened in places we didn’t expect to fall in love with. That’s why we’re always open to traveling beyond Texas. Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and beyond have all given us incredible experiences and unforgettable stories.

We’ve learned that when couples invite us into their world, wherever that may be, something special happens. The location becomes part of the narrative, not the headline. And that’s exactly how we like it.

Looking Ahead to 2026–2027

As we look forward to the next couple of years, we’re being more intentional than ever about the weddings we take on. Not because we want fewer stories, but because we want deeper ones. The kind where we know your people, understand your dynamic, and can anticipate moments before they happen.

We want to work with couples who care about connection more than perfection. Who want to feel their day, not perform it. Who understand that the best photos often come from the in-between moments—the quiet glances, the nervous laughs, the deep breaths before walking down the aisle.

If you’re planning a wedding in any of these places, or somewhere entirely different but meaningful to you, we’d love to hear your story. Not because of where it’s happening, but because of who you are and what this season means to you.

And if we end up sitting across from each other one day, coffee in hand, talking about your plans and your people and your vision, we’ll know exactly where we’re meant to be.
