We've now photographed two weddings on this property, each different in size and rhythm, and both shaped by that same unhurried quality.

A Resort Built for Staying Awhile

The property sits inside the Texas Hill Country, and it shows in the pacing of a wedding weekend here more than in any single photo. Guests arrive early and linger late. Out-of-town family spends the day before at the pool or the spa instead of sitting in a hotel room waiting for the ceremony. That kind of built-in ease changes how a wedding day feels once it starts, less like an event everyone rushed to get to, more like a gathering people have already settled into.

Both weddings we've photographed here took place at Sunday House, an outdoor ceremony site with sweeping Hill Country views. It has a quiet, understated quality that doesn't demand attention so much as invite it, stonework and warm textures that photograph well without needing much help from us.

What's struck us both times is how differently it can hold a day. It's intimate enough for a close family ceremony, but it doesn't feel underused when the guest list grows. Two Weddings, Two Different Rhythms

A family-centered celebration. Ashley and Brandon built their day around their children, who stood with them during the ceremony. The morning was unhurried, kids getting ready alongside their parents, laughter filling rooms that could have felt formal but didn't. The reception stayed intimate even indoors, warm lighting and a restaurant space that kept things personal rather than produced.

A quiet, grounded day. Kimberly and Donald chose to keep part of their morning private, so our coverage began midday, once the nervous energy had already settled into steadiness. What followed was a ceremony defined more by attentiveness than spectacle, and portraits that felt like a pause rather than a task to get through. Some of our favorite frames from their day weren't posed at all, just two people reaching for each other's hands between shots.

What to Know Before You Book It

A few things worth planning around, based on what's worked for the couples we've photographed here:

Lean on golden hour if you can time your ceremony around it. The light across the Hill Country does most of the heavy lifting during portraits.

Use the resort's range of textures during portraits, stonework, modern architecture, open landscape. Moving between a few of these during your session adds more variety to your gallery than staying in one spot.

If you're bringing children into the ceremony, plan for candid, interactive photography rather than posed group shots. The moments that hold up best are usually the ones that weren't staged.
